My 7 Figure Journey
Don’t call it a comeback, I’ve been here for years...
From working as a shampoo girl at 15 to launching multiple businesses and hitting 7-figure success, my journey has been all about growth and resilience 💪🏽. After the 2008 crash, my family of 6 lost almost everything, but that’s when God taught me the power of obedience, prayer and faith. In 2013, I launched Your Beauty Xpert, a business that provided glam squads for weddings and high-end clients. I was also teaching beauty classes, sitting on the advisory board of my beauty school, and serving clients. Before long, I hit six figures again. Women from various industries were following my journey on social media and started asking for mentorship, which led to the birth of CEO Chicks.✨.
By 2018, I had a one-year plan in place. Right after landing a gig as the lead hair stylist for the Black Girls Rock annual awards campaign, I officially retired from the beauty industry. I rebranded YBEX to Your Branding Xpert (YBX). That same year, I released my first book, Brand to Bucks, which became an Amazon Best Seller. In 2019, I expanded CEO Chicks to London, hosted international events, and was featured by major media outlets. By 2020, my online business was thriving, hitting multiple six figures. I hired a team, and we’ve been growing ever since! The pandemic, like many, caused us to pivot but by the grace of God we are still thriving and seeing record breaking profit margins.
